I have prayed to God about it and I know God answers my prayers. And you know what, if they give you an incentive-laden contract instead of a gurantee contract...take it. We need a little stability in that rotation even if it's only for one year, and the other Cardinal fans that commented on this post said it brilliantly when they mentioned what a faithful and knowledgable fan base we have in St Louis. Not to discount the value that Jason Varitek has to the Red Sox - he's a great leader and has done so much for the Red Sox franchise, but with Yadier Molina behind the dish, other teams' running game disappears when any Cardinal pitcher is on the hill. If you do decide that the East coast isn't the right fit for you anymore, there are a lot of Cardinal fans that would love to see you with the birds and the bat on the front of your jersey!
