As a life time Phillies fan, I would be so very happy to see you back in the pinstripes. I have followed your career since you were with the Astros and would love to have you back in the NL. All the regulars at the ball park miss seeing you and Shonda at the games. I hope to see you there either as a Phillie or with the Red Sox.

Curt,

I'm a newcomer to this site. I've always heard you had a blog so I decided to check it out today.

Curt, I love you but everything with you has to be over-dramatized. You ain't going anywhere...No need to write love letters to your teammates, no need to play the "Thanks for the memories" song. No need to list a bunch of teams you think you might end your career with. Like you, I'm a Christian with a lot of faith...I know for sure you will be with the Sox next year. I have prayed to God about it and I know God answers my prayers.

And you know what, if they give you an incentive-laden contract instead of a gurantee contract...take it. It will make you work even harder and proove to the world that you still have what it takes.

Love you!

Curt.....

I very much respect the fact that you represent yourself. I'm sure you know the story of Ted Williams refusing a pay raise from Tom Yawkey because he had a bad year. Quite an amazing thing and it showed what kind of unique man he was. You're now in a position to do something like that. Find out if the Theo wants you back. If he actually does, then make it happen.

Please come to Saint Louis! I mean, come one. Please!

I don't know if my Cardinals will offer $13 million. I love them to death, but they never seem to offer huge contracts like that. But it's only for a year...so maybe. Ugh, I really hope they do.

Either way, we would all love to have you. And not just because you're name is Curt Schilling (although that helps). We need a reliable vet to help usher Wainwright and hopefully Reyes along. And without Carp for some of the year, and Mulder kind of being up in the air, you're exactly what La Russa is going to need this year: a top notch, tough as nails, big game, winning pitcher to look to when things get rough.

I know you've won two Series in the last four years up there in Bean Town, but we've made it there ourselves twice since '04 too. Please please please be a part of the bridge that guides our recent success towards our future vision. You could have such a huge impact on this team. From mentoring to leading to the most important part: playing. The Lou needs you!

I'm afraid you're staying in Boston. And I won't hate you if you do. But I will love you forever if you come pitch for my Cardinals!

On a personal note: I'm glad you always speak your mind. I hate seeing celebrities read off prescribed opinions and answers. You really balance out the, "No comment," guys.

Thanks for your time over these last 21 years Curt Thrilling; baseball thrives off of guys like you.

Hopefully anxious,

Cory Watkins

I've always been a diehard Cardinal fan but I'll be honest with you, this season was difficult to watch because you never knew (save for Adam Wainwright) who was going to be pitching the next day and what kind of performance you were going to get.

We need a little stability in that rotation even if it's only for one year, and the other Cardinal fans that commented on this post said it brilliantly when they mentioned what a faithful and knowledgable fan base we have in St Louis.

Not to discount the value that Jason Varitek has to the Red Sox - he's a great leader and has done so much for the Red Sox franchise, but with Yadier Molina behind the dish, other teams' running game disappears when any Cardinal pitcher is on the hill.

If you do decide that the East coast isn't the right fit for you anymore, there are a lot of Cardinal fans that would love to see you with the birds and the bat on the front of your jersey!

Curt...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to St. Louis for 2008!!! You would make such a big difference to the Cardinals chances. St. Louis won 78 games this year with a pitching rotation by committee. I watched games here and there where if only the Cardinals had a good starting pitcher would have been won.

Curt....PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to St. Louis for 2008!!! Before missing the playoffs this season, the Cardinals made the playoffs every year going back to 2000. You wearing the "birds on the bat" would certaintly clinch the division title and send the Cardinals deep into October.

Curt...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to St. Louis for 2008!!! There are so many things that the young players could learn from you, that the young pitchers could learn from you, not to mention helping Mark Mulder learn to pitch and be confident when he comes back, not to mention the support and respect that a veteran player gets every time from the St. Louis faithful when they end up in a Cardinals uniform...oh Curt PLEASE come to St. Louis!!!
