Fun to watch McCain and Obama making a race out of this campaign. Really interesting knowing that the primary season will go deep so that other states can participate with a purpose ....thanks NH for keeping this primary real.

Will be good watching South Carolina and Nevada .....then the big day of Feb 5th. Also, wonder if Rudy G's. strategy will work.

I think Huckabee is going nowhere. I'm Christian, but let's have someone represent the entire country, not just the evangelicals of this nation.

Not a single person mentioned Huckabee. What do you think of him? He's got a great stance on many issues--and very important to me, is a Christian.

Curt: what are your predictions for tonight?

I'm going with Romney in Michigan by 4% over McCain, and John Edwards will win the Nevada debate by coming out swinging hard.

Signed,

I don't know why it is that a baseball player is the first one to sum up how i feel about this election. I guess all the pundits have to much at stake to be honest about things.

I agree that Senator McCain is a man of great depth and honesty and would make a wonderful president. We need him.

I also agree that Barack Obama seems to be a sincere man of great depth who, while young, does indeed embody much of what is great about America.

I could vote for either of them though if both get nominated I would go for McCain. But rather than vote for Romney I would go for Obama any day

Curt

I do not usually write to these things, but felt compelled to comment here. I like the fact that you are not committed to any party but have picked your canidate. Your positive comments about Sen. Obama relect that. I also have to agree with you about the feeling of caring from both McCain and Obama. My last comment concerns the practice of the press, the public, and the canidates themself of bashing another canidate. This practice makes us as a country look foolish. I try to pick my canidate using thier stance (both what they say in thier speeches and what they have voted for in the past) to decide what canidate I will support.

Curt,

I respect John McCain as a true patriot and war hero. However, I believe that Hillary Clinton is best equipped to lead our country out of this current mess.
I don't expect you to understand how badly people are hurting in this country. Most US consumers are completely tapped, and have no savings, and have acquired a huge debt. Their homes are worth less than when they bough them... not a pretty site.

To be completely honest, I live in Arizona Curt your old stopping grounds and McCain is beloved here and one hell of a canidate in my eyes as well.... But I also agree with what you say about Obama and how honest he comes across too. Personally I believe in Change ironically his slogan of his campain.

I JUST WISH THAT MC CAIN AND OBAMA WOULD PUT ASIDE THEIR PARTIES AND RUN TOGETHER AND DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THE COUNTRY AND NOT THE DEMOCRATS OR REPUBLICANS

I am sick and tired of people in politics not doing what is best for the country. The way it always seems to play out is if a (D) brings something to the house or congress to vote on the (R) vote it down just because of who brought it to the table and not the meat and potatoes of the issue or bill. Politicans are for the most part playing a game of who can get more dirt on the other guy and that is all they seem to care about. I feel like could go on and on and on and on and.............. Well I think all that read this get the point.

If McCain wins the primary elections, I will hold my nose and vote for him in November -- but there is a long way to go. I don't care for McCains stand on immigration and how ANY Republican can work with a Kennedy on anything is totally unacceptable. I believe McCain won NH because the mostly liberal Independants voted him in. I supported Romney in NH and I believe that he will eventually get the nod -- and a Romney / McCain ticket in November would be unbeatable.

Hi Curt,
I was reading your comments on John McCain this morning at the same time I was looking at the NY Times, and saw an article there about what right and wrong are. Because of your interest in this subject -- which I think you make clear with your politics -- I thought you'd get a kick out of the article; yeah, it's written by a Harvard professor, but his ideas on what morality is are interesting despite his living in an academic bubble. Enjoy!
